Chuan Tung Bakery & Confectionery Shop has been a cherished presence in the Shilin and Tianmu neighborhoods for nearly four decades, with three locations that have accompanied generations and become a treasured part of many people’s memories.
At the helm is Head Chef Allen Chen, whose career spans roles in prestigious five-star hotels and advanced training in France. A winner of multiple international pastry awards, Allen also co-founded a shop with MOF Chef Yann Brys. After returning to Taiwan to take over the family business, he infused Chuan Tung’s traditional Taiwanese breads with the artistry of French pâtisserie—bringing a fresh new look to the brand while continuing to share classic flavors that feel both nostalgic and full of delightful surprises.
